Gorgeous hotel right by the lake and wall. Subway close by along with food joints. Incredible view of the city. Worth paying the premium for higher floor. Luxury and clean hotel. Thank you for the enjoyed stay!
Really good value for money. The hotel is right next to the metro as well as Xuanwu lake, which makes it a good location to explore Nanjing. The breakfast is massive but also good quality. The pool is OK and the gym is nice.
Stayed here for two nights - the room was good. In comparison with other shangri la hotels, services were not consistent - this is in comparison with Shangri La standards where we stayed in Shangri La Jakarta, Hangzhou, Shanghai - Jin An & Pudong. On the 2nd day - our room for bedtime was not made up according to the Shangri La’s standard. The taxi (hotel to Nanjing south station) that ordered through the hotel was a little bad experience - the driver was rather rough with his driving. The food at its Chinese restaurant - Jiangnan Wok, was good, services can be improved - to be on par with Shangri La standards. Among other Huaiyang dishes which we had, we especially enjoyed the dish of large yellow croaker fish with glutinous rice, it was delicious. This Chinese restaurant is rated Black Pearl Two Diamonds as point of writing this. There is also a cooking academy in the hotel. As it was near mooncake festival, we bought a box mooncake at a further reduced price on their special promotion when dining at its Chinese restaurant. We also had a light meal (cajun chicken salad) at the Garden Coffee, the hotel’s cafe located at the lobby level, but it was not an entirely good experience. Post meal - had a mild stomach ache and diarrhoea. You can have an afternoon tea that comes with snacks (cookies and pastries) at the Horizon Club with some additional fee
