Here for the special Shangrila Igloohome lunch or Ice Palace Hotpot experience style. Decent selection of dishes, complimentary beers and heart warming ginger tea. We are Malaysians and indeed a worthwhile dining experience!!!
Great Hotel, great location. Spent my Chinese New Year holidays there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel upgraded me to a River view room, took a lot of great pictures. The window needs to be cleaned more often though, the dust and rain had left a lot marks on the window. It is clean enough to see outside, but took me a while to find a clean spot to take a picture.
For a Shangri-la, it's disappointing on multiple fronts: Service was shoddy and insincere Staff interactions were not warm or sincere (there were some exceptions, like 2 of the housekeepers and 1 bellboy) Overall experience fell way short of a Shangri-la. If you have experienced Shangri-la in more developed cities, best to tamper your expectations drastically and you might just be happy.
