Shangri La The Shard London

In early July, while revisiting London and attending a day at Wimbledon, I had a short stay at Shangri-La London, The Shard. This was my first experience at this Shangri-La, and it was a truly memorable one. The service throughout was warm and attentive, and although the property itself and guest rooms are not brand new, they are very well-maintained and feel welcoming. Afternoon tea was a highlight, with an excellent selection of teas and desserts. Overall, it was a short but thoroughly enjoyable stay.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this five-star hotel prides itself on delivering an unparalleled guest experience. The true highlight of our stay was the exceptional service provided by the staff — every team member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit extraordinary. Their thoughtful gestures and personalized attention elevated our experience far beyond our expectations. Our room was equally impressive, offering a perfect blend of luxurious comfort and refined style. The view from our window was absolutely breathtaking, creating a serene and memorable backdrop for our stay. Every detail, from the impeccable cleanliness to the high-end amenities, reflected a commitment to quality and guest satisfaction. This hotel effortlessly combines world-class hospitality with stunning accommodations. We left feeling not only relaxed but truly cared for — and we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Unfortunately, my experience with this hotel was very disappointing. Despite being a five-star hotel, the service did not meet expectations. I was charged a security deposit upon check-in, and even after more than 30 business days, the amount has not been refunded. I have tried multiple times to contact the hotel, but there has been no response — neither by phone nor email. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before booking, especially if a security deposit is involved.
