3 spacious bugalows (each for one couple or family) nestled in a beautiful garden with lots of flowers and even wild peacocks comming by. In the middle of the garden is a nice pool and a private restaurant serving tasty food. Very welcoming and friendly staff! The accomodation felt like a private hideaway, which we can highly recommend.
Shangri-Lanka Village was the most luxurious place we stayed in during our Sri Lanka trip. It was our wedding anniversary and we were out for something special. Rohan, the owner, organized everything for us, and Niranji, the site manager, did her utmost to make our stay truly memorable. We had our anniversary dinner right outside our villa and it felt like heaven. The villa and the whole property were immaculate and the pool refreshing. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Disappointing Stay at Shangri-Lanka Village We booked Shangri-Lanka Village based on the advertised amenities, but sadly, the experience didn’t match the expectations. The WiFi was only available in the restaurant, not in the rooms as advertised. We were also told room service was not allowed and were asked to eat outside. The outdoor area had lots of mosquitoes and other insects, which led to multiple bites for both of our kids and us. One of our children even became unwell afterwards. The beds were uncomfortable, and the quilts were too small to cover the bed properly, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The only positive was the polite and professional staff—they genuinely tried to help. However, it felt like the owner prioritizes money over guest comfort. This stay was disappointing overall, and we wouldn’t recommend Shangri-Lanka Village unless significant improvements are made.
