Shantou Marriott Hotel

I had a great experience staying at the Marriott Hotel in Shantou. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and escorted to the club lounge for check-in, which made the arrival process smooth and relaxing. A special thank you to Ms. Li, the club lounge manager, who was exceptionally kind and helpful. She graciously upgraded our room to a beautiful suite with a stunning ocean view. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — a perfect retreat after a long day. The overall service during our stay was excellent.

Good hardware but 1990 software ! The facility is new and the deco is fine. But mostly they crate a fake felling; everything is just not a 5 stars hotel interior. Staffs here are the worst of all the Marriott I have stayed. Rude, unfriendly,poorly trained, unprofessional staffs are things that you will experience here. Breakfast staffs will shout at you. No welcome, good morning, or even simply thank you…. They are not even looking at your face. The uniforms are falling off. The shopping mall, next to the hotel, is not opened for 2 years. There is a little convenience store locates next to the hotel. For location, Sheraton hotel in downtown is much better.

1 Star-Very disappointed. You cannot make international calls from the room, front desk, or business center—which is shocking for a Marriott. I had an emergency and needed to change flights and hotel reservations, but the staff had no solutions or support. Not recommended for international travelers.
