Shellie's Chateau

A huge thank you to Mountain Shire for such a wonderful place to stay! It truly brought my childhood dreams to life, ever since I watched Lord of the Rings. The owners drew inspiration for the Hobbit-themed house, and they even have Harry Potter-themed accommodations. I was so impressed! The house was spotless, the service was excellent, and all the amenities were complete. Communication and answering questions were also very quick. You can even bring your beloved dog to stay and relax here. I sincerely hope to come back and stay again, and I expect by then the two new Harry Potter-themed houses will be finished!

An absolutely marvelous, magical, and enjoyable experience. So many fantastic and wonderful details in the rooms and gardens. The staff were on hand and very helpful. Lots of tiny amenities that made for a wonderful stay. Only small negative was the bed in our particular room was understandably small, hot, and uncomfortable. But honestly the rest of the entire experience was so incredible it more than made up for it, and we would highly recommend this as a secret getaway.

This place is utter perfection. I was lucky enough to stay here for 1 night, in the Serenity home, and I am not joking when I say I left feeling like I spent a week at a peaceful retreat. The grounds are absolutely stunning and it's clear the owners put so much effort into keeping it beautiful. The amount of detail that went into the home we stayed in was awesome. I really felt like I was in my own hobbit house. Not to mention, SUPER comfy bed. Each home is so unique and beautiful. Really loved having a fire at night (which was all set up for us - we just had to light it!) and my little dog also loved it so much she didn't want to leave. We booked directly through Mountainshire's website. I CANNOT wait to be back!!!!
