A normal hotel, I've lived in it more than once. Everything in the room is changed on time, cleaning is the same as in all Chinese hotels (no one will make any special arrangements). Breakfast is ok, lots of Korean salads. TV is one Russian channel. You need to catch Wi-Fi, if your number gets a weak signal, go to the neighbor’s. There were practically no problems with this. Elevators 2 pcs. when on Friday or holidays there is an influx of tourists for 2 - 3 days, then it is problematic, but this is normal. Nearby, there is a park, a supermarket, a market, shops, a shopping street. In 2019, before the pandemic, they opened a dumpling shop nearby (not a bad option for a snack), they closed 2 U. in a neighboring building on the 2nd floor. Yes, I agree that the furniture in the rooms is already tired, but you can live. And it’s not too expensive to replace. Of the many hotels in Hunchun, this one is more standard in terms of location, food, and accommodation.
The hotel does not deserve 4 stars. The rooms are pretty shabby, but everything works, they clean it every day, they are not too keen on vacuuming, we had to call a cleaner because after cleaning the flooring was sooooo dirty. Toiletries and towels are changed every day. The panoramic restaurant has not been open for a long time. There is only a restaurant on the second floor, and only for breakfast; lunch and dinner are not served there. Breakfast is decent, large selection of dishes. The rooms are smoky. There is only one Russian-speaking girl at the reception; the rest are waved off and sent to her. The location is convenient, right at the beginning of the shopping street.
The location is good and that's all the positives. We checked into a triple room, were given a double room with three beds, and it took a very long time to change it to the appropriate one. The lighting in the rooms is low, the sockets are generally fantastic. The towels are torn, not everything has been changed, the furniture is shabby, the carpeting is filthy. The hotel does not live up to its status.
