Sheraton Changzhou Wujin Hotel

Good for business trip. Breakfast is ok. They offer local dishes. Room is clean and big, 5 stars class. Connected with a big shopping mall with Walmart and cinemas. Price is good. Many local restaurants nearby.

The service was excellent, there was nothing wrong with it. The room condition was however for a 5 star hotel really bad. In the room there was disgusting residues in the form of body fluids of the predecessor. They got stuck on the sofa and were not removed. There was a lot of mold in the shower. As compensation I was offered the next visit an upgrade. Conclusion: service very good Room: Very bad.

A disaster of epic proportions. Everything was just awful. Check-in: Nobody can speak English and it took around 15 minutes for me alone, add that Chinese cut the queue and the staff allow it and saying something doesn't result in anything. Dinner buffet the food is stale and not fresh at all, even found a hair in the chafing dish. Room? Cannot control the temperature... operator cannot speak English and cannot ask for help... totally useless, after I attempted 3 times. Went down to the concierge as it was impossible to sleep in the sweltering heat and they said they were fully occupied and cannot offer any alternative. "Sorry" they said. The next day on my way to work I saw that there was a Marriott Hotel across the street and stopped by to have a look. I went to check the other hotel and it was also full and sure enough the hotel was also full but the manager overheard my pain at the Sheraton and upgraded me for free to the presidential suite. For free. I changed hotels and have been staying there with my colleagues for over a year. I have never been happier in my life. They have expat management who ensure proper service and food quality at the hotel and you can feel the difference.
