Wow. I don't know where to start with this review - and I mean that in the best way possible. My family and I (husband, 1.5 year old, 2 month old) stayed here after our flight from Lufthansa was delayed and we needed to stay the night. I booked online while at the airport lounge and called them shortly after to see if we could check in early - we had a terrible flight with our over tired toddler and wanted to see if we could just get her to lay down and nap. To our surprise, we were able to go there straight away and get checked in! The lady at the front desk was also EXTREMELY helpful - we had to book 2 rooms per their website due to having 4 people and while she said that was false, she didn't cancel because the system would automatically charge us 80% of the fee anyways BUT she made sure we had 2 conjoining rooms and that we were sent cribs for the babies. When it came time for dinner we randomly had a mac n cheese cup in our carry on that we wanted to make for our toddler and I called down to the desk and while there is no public microwave she assured me they could take care of me at "The Eatery" restaurant inside the hotel and make it for me! Not only did they help with that but also made sure we had utensils for her as well. While we had a wonderful stay there we realized once we made it to our final destination that my husband forgot his nice sweater at the hotel and we were countries away at that point. We called the Sheraton and again - WOW the staff goes above and beyond. They assured me they would look for it and made sure they had my email for communication and 2 days later they emailed me saying they had the sweater and 2 other small items we had left. They gave instructions on how to get it shipped back and were so helpful every step of the way. I cannot recommend this hotel enough because of the staff - they are FANTASTIC and actually CARE about you and your family when you stay. Thank you so much.
Better now that Marriott controls the Sheraton brand. Rooms provide the basics and are clean. Gym is nice and well equipped. Very much a transit hotel, but it’s attached to the airport, so to be expected. Can be challenging to access right now due to construction. Do not try and access from ground level by the taxis. Find a lift. There are options for food and groceries outside the hotel past the train station.
This hotel is more like a transit stopover, so I didn’t expect much in terms of interior design. The room was basic, with a simple bed and wall-mounted tables. I requested a 12:00 PM check-in online, but when I arrived in person, the room wasn’t ready. The staff had tried to upgrade us to a suite, which required additional cleaning time. The receptionist informed us of a 30-minute wait and brought us to the club lounge to rest and have lunch. After 45 minutes, we were told it would take another 30 minutes. The lounge was warm and stuffy, as the air conditioning wasn’t running. By 2:00 PM—after waiting two hours—we decided to head into the city and hoped the room would be ready when we returned after dinner. It was frustrating not being able to shower after a long flight. The in-room Wi-Fi was also poor—barely usable for basic browsing. Aside from its convenient location near the airport, which suited our early morning flight, this hotel is not ideal for a longer stay or if you’re looking for comfort and enjoyment.
