Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel

Our flight was delayed so we were placed in this hotel for a night and the staff made it super easy to check in and were very nice. Rooms are extremely nice, very clean, all around pretty cool. The shuttle comes back and forth between the airport 24/7 for free.

Had to spend the night courtesy of United Airlines and a major flight delay last night. Our check in was fast, the room was updated, super clean and quiet. The shuttle was very convenient. We were impressed.

We did a day stay before our evening flight. I have Ambassador Elite Status. The staff was pretty nice. The room was very old. Our toilet was running and the shower handle fell off. The plumber who came was very kind. The swimming pool was nice. The valet team super nice. The lounge did not have much other than trail mix and water/coffee/tea. They mixed us up with another guest with the same last name and called me. They said everything was fine. But then they had someone from security knock on my door while my little kids were napping to make me come down and provide proof of ID again. It felt very aggressive when they’d just said on the phone that everything was fine. Kids woke up again and lost their marbles. It was lovely. It felt like a smart idea to book a day stay at a hotel near the airport before our evening flight, but I can’t say it was worth it after all. We were not able to relax before our 15-hour flight because of all the interruptions.
