Sheraton Huizhou Beach Resort

We spent one night in the off season in November. We requested a room with an ocean view but somehow wound up on the back of the hotel with a view of trees and buildings. The rooms need to be updated. The bathroom sink was clogged and leaked. The door to the balcony would not shut. Both these problems were an easy fix. Breakfast was good. It would have been interesting to see this operate during the tourist season. Staffing seemed good even though the hotel and the entire resort area was 95% empty.

SHUT IT DOWN. SHUT IT DOWN My international friends, this hotel is dead now. Once a glorious resort, now just a shadow of its former self. The only thing that's marriott about this is the name. Please shut this place down before it ruins more people's image of marriott.

Do not expect a resort experience if you book this hotel. Property is very dated and most amenities are not as advertised on Marriott website. Outdoor pools and poolside bar are closed and have been for years. Building and rooms are very old and worn out. You can tell this was a very beautiful resort at one time but years of neglect and poor maintenance have taken its toll. Still a nice location if you’re not expecting or paying too much.
