After a 5 hour delay from Manila, Turkish Airlines provided me a room at the Sheraton Hotel. The staff were all courteous. The room I stayed in was exceptionally clean. Cem at the Reception desk was very accommodating and professional. He went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. He provided very good recommendations for local food and sightseeing in downtown Istanbul.

I have chosen this hotel because of good price compared to their name but I clearly regret it to the maximum. I have booked 3 nights but unfortunately after first night I had to change my trip plan. I wanted them to give me my last night of stay for the next week to use for another day. As expected receptionist staff unwillingly told me that they have to ask for confirmation from the management. I gave them all my contact details and had to leave. Of course that call or informing never ever reached me. They not even tried to inform me that they rejected to help with my request. So poor service for the name Sheraton. I will never stay there not even if I have things to do in their area as well. Clearly do not recommend anyone to go. Now because everyone can see this post for sure they will write a reply under this post but unfortunately too late.

I had booked a King-size room with a sofa bed at the Sheraton Hotel in Istanbul. There’s a price difference between rooms that have a sofa bed and those that only have a regular chair, and I paid extra specifically for the sofa bed. However, when I arrived, they gave me a room with just a regular chair. When I brought this to their attention, they simply said that the rooms with the sofa beds were all taken. This is completely unacceptable. If I paid for a specific type of room, I should get exactly what I booked. It’s not the guest’s problem if the hotel runs out of rooms; they need to manage their bookings better.
