Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort

We stayed at Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach as a family and had a truly memorable experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the very start. All our meals were served as a buffet with an amazing variety of delicious options, and the food quality was outstanding. Our room and bathroom were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. As we were visiting to celebrate my wife’s birthday, the team surprised us by decorating the room beautifully and sending a complimentary piece of cake to our room, which made the occasion even more special. We were greeted with a warm traditional welcome upon arrival, and on departure, we received a traditional blessing -something very special and unique to Marriott hotels. We have experienced similar touches in Marriott properties around the world, and it was wonderful to see the same warmth here in Sri Lanka. A perfect place for relaxation, great food, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended!

Lovely stay with warm service and a few small suggestions My lovely friend and her husband took me on a day out during my visit to Sri Lanka and chose Sheraton Kosgoda. It’s a beautiful place with a warm welcome and friendly staff. The buffet was great, food was delicious, and the rooms were clean and well-kept. Just a few suggestions , it would be lovely to have a kottu station since it’s such a popular Sri Lankan dish. We didn’t see one during our visit. Also, offering tea or coffee with lunch and dinner would be a nice touch. One thing I noticed was that although we spoke Sinhala at check-in, the receptionist continued speaking in English. Not a big issue, but for guests who don’t speak English well, it might feel a bit uncomfortable. We were asked for ID and I didn’t have my passport with me, but I had my UK hospital ID and BRP visa card. These weren’t accepted, but luckily I had a PDF of my passport to send. Just a heads-up for future guests. Service-wise, the team is doing an amazing job , always smiling and going above and beyond. But I did see a supervisor speak harshly to a staff member in front of guests at the restaurant which felt unnecessary. Everyone seemed young, polite, and hardworking, and they deserve respectful treatment. Overall, it’s a lovely place to relax and spend time with loved ones. I had a good experience and hope these small suggestions help make it even better

Our recent stay at Sheraton Kosgoda Turtle Beach Resort was truly exceptional. The hotel is perfectly located along the southern coastal line, offering direct beach access and stunning views. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed, and the external arrangements including parking were at a next level, adding to a smooth and pleasant check-in experience. Rooms are well-designed and reflect the typical standard of premium beach hotels. We stayed in a ground floor room with a private plunge pool, which added a luxurious touch. The room was spacious, well-arranged, and clean, complete with a bathtub and modern amenities. The plunge pool was an amazing feature, ideal for private relaxation. However, a safety concern arises without a shelter above it, as there's a chance of objects falling from upper floors — a thoughtful improvement for guest safety. The beachfront is extraordinary, surrounded by natural greenery and providing a peaceful, kid-friendly environment. Children can safely enjoy all day under the shade of Kadolana trees. The main pool is huge and consistently around 3ft deep, making it very safe and enjoyable for kids and non-swimmers. The rooftop area offers panoramic views and access to elevated services such as the Sky Deck Bar, making evenings more memorable. Food was excellent, both in taste and presentation, and the dining experience was further elevated by attentive, professional staff across the resort. Overall, Sheraton Kosgoda is not just a stay — it’s an experience. It offers the perfect mix of luxury, relaxation, and family-friendliness. Easily one of the top beachfront properties in Sri Lanka to unwind and recharge.
