Sheraton Minneapolis West Hotel

TL;DR - Great experience booking last minute and loved the "Pure" hypoallergenic/air purified room! This last week, Minneapolis had terrible air quality/polution because of the wildfires in Canada. I was feeling terrible and decided to find a hotel. I figured there would be a hotel with air purified rooms especially after lockdown. I easily found this hotel with a Google search and called at 1am to ask when check in would be the next day. The front desk (Oscar - you are awesome) was very understanding to why I wanted the room. They said I could check in right away, and let me book for one night instead of charging me for a night if I checked in early AM. I booked for a reasonable price and when I got there Oscar was ready to check me in. The room itself was a "Pure" room which cost approx $10 more than a regular room. It was hypoallergenic and had an air purifier. There was a mini fridge so I was able to store things for breakfast. I felt SO much better. The room was so nice and impeccably clean. I also called twice with requests for housekeeping (extra towels, bar soap), and the service was faster than Jimmy John's. I highly recommend this for anyone who needs this kind of environment. The rest of the hotel was really nice; I told Oscar I might just have to come back and hang out in the lobby 😂 A big YES from me!

Let me preface by saying g I would come back to MN just to stay at the Sheraton West!! Th rooms are roomy! The beds are dreamy!! The pillows ....best sleep ever! Additionally the bathroom counter is 6ft long. AMPLE space to put everything on it plus 3 more people! The walls are adorned with nice framed art and the environment is appealing and welcoming g. The hotel lobby is enclosed and the rooms rise up toward the lobby to make it like a small community. The floors are a beautiful marble in the lobby and the doors have no fingerprints on them! The hotel offers breakfast and has a nice isolated belar area. The parking g is ample and the location of the hotel is situated amidst shopping g centers and plenty of restaurants in a beautiful location. At around 200/night, it is well worth the price. Service is topnotch, quick, and very professional. You won't go wrong!!

When you enter, the lobby is elegant and offers a restaurant and a breakfast cafe. There's a gym onsite and a nice indoor pool. The front desk staff are nice and were prompt when I requested a set of silverware. There's also a mall within walking distance of the hotel. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. There is only a fridge in the room. The cons: My room had a really odd smell, and I don't know how to describe it. I couldn't adjust my thermostat, so the temperature remained the same the whole time. I wish there was a microwave, so that was a huge bummer. Finally, the TVs are really outdated, and I had to do a bunch of troubleshooting to get it to work initially. Overall, for a 2 night work trip, this was a good option.
