Nice place. Great facilities - especially the gym, which is one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel. The rooms feel a bit outdated, but the bed was comfortable. I generally enjoyed our stay. My only real issue was that they charged me the equivalent of $13usd for a plain croissant, which I feel is overpriced, even giving the setting.

Old hotel, breakfast is probably the worst. They charge you extra for an omelette or anything which is actually edible. They charge you extra to “rent” a bed at the pool side. As a lifetime Marriott platinum member I stayed here 2 years in a row but it is not worth it. There are better alternatives in the region - Hyatt or Sofitel.

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. The Sheraton Pilar charges five-star prices but delivers a two-star (at best) experience. The bathroom is literally falling apart — cracked tiles, moldy grout, a broken showerhead that sprays water in every direction except where it should, and fixtures that feel like they might detach at any second. The room itself is outdated, poorly maintained, and downright depressing. On top of the dismal state of the facilities, the staff was shockingly rude and unhelpful. From the moment we arrived, we were met with indifference and attitude. It took over one hour to check in, with zero explanation or apology. Any question or request seemed like a massive inconvenience to them. The WiFi is a joke — weak, unreliable, and practically unusable. I couldn’t even send a basic email. We’ve stayed at other Sheratons in Argentina, and this one somehow managed to be even worse than expected. Safe to say, we’re never coming back. Avoid this place — it’s simply not worth your time or money.
