Sheraton Santiago Hotel and Convention Center

I really wanted to like this hotel for the views that are promised from the tower rooms. But the rooms are outdated. Service is haphazard. The hotel is poorly managed. It's in urgent need of an urgent renovation and remodeling of its very dated rooms and public areas. The gym is a shame. It's tiny for such a large hotel. And there are plenty of non residents that use the gym too. The steam and sauna are in shambles. The Sheraton Santiago really needs to do a much better job. Start with the rooms. Newer plumbing. Sort out the showers and flush systems. Upgrade the carpets. Keep the room clean..housekeeping was a mess. Dirty glasses were never replaced. Beds were made untidily. This is a hotel, not a budget hostel. The lounge on the top floor is excellent but the service is confused. It's serves both as a restuarant and the executive lounge. No clarity about what is included or not. A real let down in a beautiful city. Very sad!

Walked around beautiful Santiago, picked up a very tasty looking sandwich, brought it back to the hotel to eat in the empty restaurant, and after ordering drinks, was promptly ASKED TO LEAVE! It takes 10 minutes for them to bring you a menu but only one minute for them to kick you out.

Overall the hotel was good, and clean. I had an amazing view of the city and Mountains from my room. Unfortunately, my money got stolen from within my hotel room last July 24,2025. I raised it to the management but they told me they could not do anything directly about it or the staff who possibly did it. I also found out that the hallway where my room was had no CCTV so they could not identify the staff by build/looks. I reported this to the Police and they also informed me that there was another robbery a few rooms away from mine. I never expected this from a Sheraton Hotel. Other things to note: not all of their staff can speak english but they will still try to help. Best to learn some spanish phrases. They provide toiletries, etc. upon request so you'll find no bedroom slippers/bathrobes/ toothbrushes/ vanity kits when you first get in your room. Service was a bit slow, and lacked urgency. I asked for a toothbrush but I had to call again after an hour because it never arrived.
