Sheraton Santo Domingo Hotel

Our family stayed at two rooms and our experience was great. The front desk employees were professional and efficient, the bell boy helped us promptly and carefully with our luggage, the cleaning staff did excellent jobs in our rooms every day, and the club staff deserves special mention. One of us is a member of Marriott Rewards, and we were given access to the Club on the 10th floor. There we were treated with the utmost hospitality and friendliness by Ms. Ana Santos. She catered to all our needs, especially when our kids badly needed non-carbonated drinks due to the hot weather. She quickly learned all our whims and preferences without us telling her much. I even witnessed the child of another family hugging her due to her caring nature! Disclosure: the hotel staff requested that I write this review to help their professional growth and business. I am happy to oblige.

Ten stars! The service here is amazing. The staff is cordial, sincere, and professional. They greet you by name once introduced. A special shout out to Angelo and Rosie at the front desk who greeted me with a smile every time I entered and offered exceptional support services. Nelsey, the concierge, offered great advice on restaurants and beach excursions, and asked me daily if I needed anything to let her know. She is the epitome of hospitality! Thank you to all the staff for making this a memorable stay.

I visit my boyfriend once a month and I decided to stay at the Sheraton on this particular trip. My reservation was for 2 people, and I registered him when he arrived. The remaining 4 days I was there was extremely uncomfortable, because the security officers went out of their way to chase us down everytime I walked in with him. Because he is Dominican, they repeatedly harassed us everytime we returned to the hotel. I had to keep giving them my room number and explaining to them that he is a guest here. This property needs to find another way to screen their guest. They said it was for my safety, but if you see me with the same person everyday, why are you harassing us? Are Dominicans not allowed to stay at their property? If he was walking alone, then I understand you stopping him. But when we are together it's ridiculous. This made my stay horrible. I didn't feel comfortable staying there because of their treatment to me and my guest.
