Sheraton Yantai Golden Beach Resort

I stayed here for 5 nights. The place is and service is superb. Buffet for breakfast and dinner is simply amazing. I don’t have any issues except for the location. It is quite far from downtown. During winter, they close the doors that can have access to the beach. If I have the chance to visit Yantai again, I will definitely stay in this hotel. 👍

Awesome beach and good views from the rooms. The hotel is dated and many of the finishes seem to be aging poorly and in a state of disrepair. Lights were out in sections of the hallways and in my room, the shower drain was clogged, and so many things were crooked. A card reader in one of the elevators doesn't work. One of the elevator call buttons doesn't work. The lounge stocks the fridge with three warm beers at a time. My take is that if a hotel can't get the little things right, how can we expect them to get the more important things right? Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I'll be staying at the Marriott next time.

worst Sheraton I've stayed in.Both the lobby bar and Club bar are closed indefinitely..so nowhere to get a coffee and nowhere to drink outside the crowded restaurant. Armchair and carpet in the room are grimy like they've not been steamed in 10 years. Swimming pool is crowded and dirty, nothing like the photos. If I'd known the lounge and bar were closed I'd have never booked..they say because of Covid19 but the all you can eat buffet is open with all those hands touching the food. Breakfast is decent but closed by 10 so not for a lazy sleep in holiday.
