A great little hotel with amazing staff. Everyone spoke English well and we're more than helpful in suggesting places to go, food to eat, and ways to get around. Would definitely go back again. Small 6 room hotel. Serve both a western breakfast or a traditional Chinese breakfast. Breakfast is not a buffet but rather plated prefix menu and was very good. Photos are of room A06.
We had a lovely time at this hotel. The location is quite good, not far from subway stations and close to one of the lakes. It is a bit odd going down a tiny alley to the hotel entrance, but it didn't feel dangerous, just odd. The staff are helpful and have decent English skills. There are only a small number of rooms, probably around 10. They are probably all unique, built to fit the part of the hotel they are in. We stayed in a room off the enclosed courtyard, which has a pitched ceiling about 4m high, with windows looking inward (reduces privacy if curtain pulled back). Breakfast was decent, but not spectacular. We weren't there very long, so didn't take part in their offered cooking and Taichi classes. Something to consider for people who are staying longer. Very happy we stayed here rather than a western style hotel. Bed might be a bit hard for some. Some photos of the common areas included here.
A beautiful hotel hidden in the hutongs. A bit hard to find if you come there for the first time. The entrance is just a big red door without a nameplate. The service is great they clean the room every day. But not all the staff members can understand English so sometimes the communication is a little hard. But they are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the bathroom has all the facilities you are used to.
