Shikotsuko Daiichi Hotel Suizantei

Loved being here. Private onsen is good, public bath even better, food was good, and service superb. The place could use some remodeling but not a big deal. The whole vibe is so zen I loved it. Oh and the freshly baked pastries in the morning added an extra wow factor before we checked out. Would recommend to family and friends!

It's more like a 4.7 because it's not perfect but very close. We stayed in the room with a private onsen, but came during the off season (mid May) so the public onsen was also usually empty. Loved soaking in the onsen and sweating in the sauna. Dinner was great, small portions each course but left full at the end. The little snack box they give you at the end for midnight snack is cute. We liked that they had tea sessions, free evening bar drinks, and morning coffee/cold brew. Great to relax in the lounge area with included spa clothes. There are a bunch of cute restaurants nearby and activities to do (such as Ocean Days kayaking) Only slight negatives is the room is definitely on the older side. Kinda gives it a rustic ambiance. Overall would come again and recommend to family and friends.

This place was amazing. Surrounded by beautiful scenery and staff were amazing. Private Onsen was perfect being outside in hot water with snow falling was epic. Dinner was great, as I can’t eat seafood they had prepared beef and pork for me!!! So good. Breakfast was a little weird. Had an open mind but yeah, different. Could live there!!! That’s how good
