Shilla Stay Mapo Hongdae

The location. As a native Korean who has lived in Seoul for ten years, amazing location to go anywhere in Seoul. The thing is, amenities are not completely prepared. (In my case, I didn’t have the indoor slippers 😂) And some of them are not free, which is common for eco-friendly hotels. And, the Wifi is terrible. It is free of charge and they don’t even have a password, I think that is why. It’s 26th floor in total, and the whole building seems to use the same one. Terrible. I use my data in the evening. Plus, the housekeepers are really noisy. Feels like they want me to check out as fast as possible. Caution: If you want to use OTT services, you get to use your account. Overall, not bad - reasonable price and the location, but not quite much recommended.

100% agreed with the AC not working to your liking. The hotel controls it and sets it at a certain temp so be aware. If you tend to get hot then it might not be convenient. The hotel is good because it's close to the subway and a good location for train transfers. The extra amenities like toothpaste, toothbrush and etc are all a charge if you take it and use it. The walls are a bit thin so you can hear the noises around you.

Where do i even start this room most importantly had no working AC and most nights ended up waking up in a pool of sweat and some times it was unbearable to be even in your own room, the shower smelt like methane/rotten eggs and when the shower was on and working it would spray water over your whole bathroom and would absolutely soak it leading us to use 2/3 towels just to clean it, overall would never stay here again and for the price the service and quality was absolute garbage
