Shilla Stay Samsung COEX Center

The location is excellent. It's just right across Coex where the famous Starfield library is. The rooms are spacious but the centralized air-conditioning has to be repaired. It was hot. Note also that this hotel does not provide concierge services. I asked for assistance to make a booking since I didn't speak Korean. I was assisted but after informing me they don't provide this service. Also o requested for an hour's extension after checkout time as I had some meetings. I was asked to pay an additional 22k won.

Pros Location is perfect Housekeeping is good Gym is nice and clean Cons Non existent airconditioning( they gave you a fan instead) Shower head not good Maintenance issues with the room(outlets are loose) Elevator very busy because lobby upstairss Since you have to open your window because its hot , you cant sleep cause of the noise outside Neutral Front desk is hit or miss. Breakfast is reasonable and good We come to seoul four times a year. Its quite sad that this is the worst hotel we stayed in terms of value for money. We stayed in a range of 3-5 stars hotel and i dont think were unreasonable but for the price you pay for i think there are far better value for money hotels .

Do not recommend. The only slight positive is the proximity to the CoEx center but there are plenty of other hotels close by you can (and should) choose. The rooms are small, not updated and HOT. Air condition barely works. They front desk staff are incompetent. Stay anywhere else
