We loved staying at the Tokyu. We stayed in a traditional Japanese style hotel room which was fun to experience. The views from our room were of the parking lot and the mountains behind the hotel. We opted for breakfast each day and it had a great selection and the quality of food was excellent. The views from the garden behind the hotel were beautiful on a clear sunny day. The only downside is the hotel is located on a massive hill so to get down and head into town you will have to walk down that hill. It was a steep walk and there isn’t a dedicated area for pedestrian so there are cars going up and down as well.

We have a lovely stay in this hotel. Comfortable twin bedroom. A lovely public Onsen. Breakfast is amazing with variety of food to select. The dinner is served by course menu, fresh and delicious. The server is very attentive if you inform the food restriction. Hotel is situated on the hilltop that you can walk around with amazing view of the ocean. It is very nice to see the Senior hotel staff with service mind. My recommendation is to use Onsen early in the morning so you can enjoy the view and less crowded. Secondly, you should book the room included with dinner because once it’s dark, it might be difficult to go outside. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the stay .

Disappointing for the Price – Not Quite Four-Star Standard The staff were fantastic – friendly, professional, and very helpful throughout our stay. Rooms were clean and well-kept, which we appreciated. However, the overall experience felt inflexible and didn’t meet the expectations of a four-star hotel. For example, having to book dinner the day before isn’t ideal when you’ve just arrived and are still settling in. Food service by the pool stopped at 14:30, and there were no drinks or snacks available after 15:00 – despite the pool being open until 18:00. These limitations made it feel more restrictive than relaxing, especially given the price point. With some more flexible service and attention to guest convenience, the experience could match the quality of the staff.
