Great place. Staff could smile more. 😁 Rooms okay
in the heart of Airlie beach, this beach resort was amazing. From the modern, cosy units, to the fantastic location and how convenient it was to get to the marina for a nice walk or to have an afternoon jog. Bit far from the main town for walking distance, but only a 5 minute car ride which is still a great feat. We accidentally locked ourselves out the rooms, the aftercare worker came through when he wasn't working and was very understanding and sincere, shoutout to him. The rooms had a strange fishy odour about it and I think someone was cooking before our arrival and the smell got into the aircon. Despite that, the entire experience was great and we were treated with professionalism and consideration. The pool was also a fantastic touch. Thank you Shingley Beach Resorts, you truly made our time very memorable ❤️
The staff were friendly, but the room was not properly cleaned. There was mold in both the shower and the toilet, and there was even a large amount of trash left under the bed from the previous guest. The room had a foul odor of spoiled food, which only dissipated after leaving the window open for an entire day. The kitchen was also unclean, with food residue on the microwave and the sponge. For some unknown reason, the made-up bed did not have a comforter—only a thin sheet was provided.
