Beautiful hotel with a great view of the mountains. I loved the Onsen! It took a while to get to the hotel from Matsumoto, but it's simple to get there (train, 2 buses). From the hotel, you can book a taxi to different places. Lovely food, VERY good service and nice clean rooms!
My family enjoyed the onsen and the food served by the hotel for breakfast and dinner here. We heard from the staff that the hotel is about 40 years. Although it’s old, but it was clean. Our room had an amazing view of the mountains which was lovely.
Very nice hotel in the Shirahone Onsen area. Friendly staffs and very helpful. We got a recently renovated room with 2 beds. They provided the basic amenities but could have done a bit more. Hot spring was super hot and relieving. We stayed for 2 nights and the dinners were amazing, both quantities and qualities. We visited Kamikochi on the second day. We drove to Sawando bus terminal to catch the bus. Cars are not allowed up at Kamikochi. It was an easy 10 mins drive from the hotel to Sawando. Kamikochi was fantastic, a must visit. Overall a very pleasant stay and we were happy with the trip.
