Shivaji Inn Kaziranga

I had a wonderful experience during my stay at Hotel Shivaji Inn,Kohora, Kaziranga. The hospitality was top-notch, with special thanks to the manager Mr.Gobind , who was exceptionally humble, polite, and cooperative throughout. The food was excellent. Service was consistently prompt and efficient, making the stay even more comfortable. The rooms were spacious, well-maintained, and hygiene was clearly a priority. All staff members specially Ms. Monosha (Head Cook) and Mr. Rahul were courteous and well-trained. Highly recommend this hotel for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.

Location was convenient and we were picked up by safari without any additional charges. But there were so many bugs on our bed and even after changing sheets the bugs kept crawling on the top sheet somewhere from inside the mattress. Staff was humble and polite and they gave us another room. But in the morning, I found a bug there too. Lizards were there in all the room and their sounds were quite audible scaring the hell out of us. Bathroom shower head broke down while taking bath. Bathrooms cleanliness needs attention. Apart from that, rooms were spacious but no scope of ventilation as due to insects, windows & all exhaust fan opening etc. need to be closed all the time. The breakfast was very basic and okay - poodi sabji, poha and tea. Tea was good. I would suggest to avoid if you can get better option to stay.

Had a terrible experience at the hotel. Booked and paid for 2 rooms in advance. The AC hardly cooled, and power went out 4-5 times in the first hour. The attendant initially refused to start the generator and only did so after an argument. We decided to leave and requested a refund. After a 30-minute dispute, the owner deducted 50% of amount for 1 hour of stay.
