Shoulder of Mutton

We stayed for two separate nights on our way to and from Scotland. Mark and Lindsay are friendly and attentive hosts and the pub is an excellent place to stay. We were made to feel very welcome during our visit, the rooms were nice with comfortable beds, warm showers and a nice selection of tea, coffee and biscuits. We had dinners and breakfast which were all very good. We will definitely return, should we come back that way, and we would definitely recommend.

Visited the Shoulder of Mutton as we were staying at a local airBnB before attending a wedding the following day. We were warmly welcomed and made to feel very comfortable during our visit. We ordered food which was absolutely delicious, and even enjoyed some dessert. The food was cooked to a high standard, and tasted delicious. Both Mark and Lyndsay were lovely and came to join us before we left for the evening. All the staff were so friendly and accommodating, and we were given some local recommendations. It was a most enjoyable evening and should we find ourselves in the area again we will definitely return for a meal again. Fantastic little place! Called in for lunch and got two delicious light courses for a tenner. Good range of ales in the cosy bar area, large and airy dining room and the most friendly and helpful noisy ever. Will definitely be back.
