My stay at the resort was absolutely magical. The villa was beyond amazing in both design and cleanliness, and the view was simply breathtaking. The private pool was beautiful and very clean. From beginning to end, everything was perfect. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I truly had a wonderful experience and would love to return again.
The hotel’s semi-private beach is fabulous! You can enjoy a peaceful moment sitting by the seaside, either under the shade of the trees or under the sun. The staff would bring you a glass of iced water. The service is very good. Staffs are very friendly. Thai food at the moon restaurant was much better than expected, even for Thai people like me. The breakfast is great. They serve variety of food, including moo ping (grilled pork skewer) with sticky rice and freshly pressed orange juice. The downside includes a disturbing noise from a construction and a closure of some facilities (this will go on until the end of 2025).
We had mixed feelings about our stay at Silavadee. The setting has potential, and perhaps some rooms, especially those with proper sea views, offer a better experience. Unfortunately, our 2-bedroom ocean view duplex was a disappointment: the “ocean view” was barely visible, only when standing upstairs, and the room itself felt run down. The outdoor area wasn’t well kept, and we even had a few unwelcome bathroom visitors, including a flying cockroach. What made things worse was not being informed at booking that there would be a wedding during our stay. The music was extremely loud that night, and our children couldn’t sleep. Staff were generally friendly and well-intentioned, but the service missed the mark multiple times. A babysitting request was never confirmed, messages through their app went unanswered, and on one occasion we waited 20 minutes (and called twice) for a buggy. Every morning, fresh towels were left in a bag outside the villa, which didn’t feel like 5-star service, nor did the rushed cleaning. Despite efforts, mosquitoes were a constant issue, and we left covered in bites. The beach itself was also not usable, covered in dead coral that made walking or swimming impossible. On the positive side, the food was very good, and the restaurant staff were excellent. Overall, given the many glowing reviews, we really wanted to love Silavadee but the reality was far from a 5-star experience, and sadly, not worth the price.
