Şile Gönen Hotel is a hidden gem if you want to enjoy the Black Sea while staying close to Istanbul. The staff, facilities, local atmosphere, and food all exceeded our expectations. Our group of seven — spanning three generations — stayed here and truly appreciated the comfort and relaxing ambiance of the hotel. My personal favorites were the generous breakfasts, the refreshing swimming pool, and the relaxing sauna. Zahit, the accommodation manager, and Akgün, the food services manager, were absolutely fantastic — always helpful, friendly, and ready for a good conversation. They went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. We definitely hope to return in the future. If we had one small wish, it would be for improved cleanliness at the nearby public beaches — though we understand this may be beyond the hotel's direct control. Çok teşekkür ederiz, Şile Gönen Hotel ekibi!
We had such a wonderful stay that we ended up extending for another night — that should tell you something! Everything was great, but what really made the difference was the staff. Every single person we interacted with was kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to help. Special shoutout to Murat Abi, who was hands-down the most helpful and cheerful person we met. Always smiling, always ready to assist — a true gem of a guy who made us feel right at home. Also, massive thanks to the front desk team, especially the manager, Zahed who handled my husband’s little tantrum moment (yes, it happened!) with total grace and professionalism. Honestly, I was cringing, but they stayed calm, kind, and composed — and that meant a lot. This place doesn’t just have great rooms and good service — it has heart. We left happy, and that’s all because of the people who work here. Thank you!
We stay here for 4 days 3 nights, I’m not really feel comfortable to stay with this hotel with the Service. I don’t feel welcoming every morning when I go to have breakfast. Mostly the staff cannot speak English, but that’s not the main point, the main point that I don’t feel welcoming in dining room. Every morning the staffs just standing looking at you not even smile or say good morning. Even I smile to them. They also didn’t smile back to me every morning in the breakfast during the eating some staffs using their phone during working nobody come to check as hospitality working in the hotel. But I would compliment some staffs for breakfast. I would compliment the tea man that always come to pouring the tea for us. Others look like they got forced for working. The egg man and the manager are nice as well. For dinner, I don’t recommend to eat at the hotel, especially for Caesar salad that one of the worst Caesar salad since I ever had in my life, they used French sauce, which is not Caesar salad sauce, and they put too much dressing. You don’t feel the taste of the salad at all, but you feel just only the French dressing. With the kebab dish I feel a bit too much grill, but it was fine. The spa was okay. The tomato in breakfast someday they wash, someday not, someday still have dirt on the tomatoes. The room and housekeeper are nice. The door man is nice. Mainly, I don’t comfortable here because the staffs that nobody smiles or even says hi. only one tea man that smile. I don’t feel about service mind or customer service here sadly:(
