Silken Monumental Naranco

The location is excellent for someone going to the Fernández Vega Eye Clinic nearby. It's not as convenient for visiting downtown, but it's still walkable. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff very attentive, especially housekeeping who went over and above to make our stay as comfortable as possible. On the first survey we received we suggested it would be nice to have a kettle in the room and not two hours had gone by when we had the kettle in our room! We were very impressed. An extra pillow? No trouble, it arrived immediately. The restaurant has good food. The cafeteria has snacks. The breakfast is excellent. There is a good variety of breads, yoghourts, cheeses, cold cuts, cereals, jams, juices, fresh fruit, a healthy corner and a hot dish. The only weak point is the coffee machine which can never make coffee as good as you get in a coffee shop. Still, everything else makes up for that shortfall. All in all, I would highly recommend the Silken Monumental Naranco hotel, in Oviedo.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel and the reason for 4 stars is the same as last time - no air conditioning (due to time of year) and no tea and coffee facilities The hotel is lovely, we had rooms at the front do had Mountain views. Staff really nice We did feel ignorant due to our extremely limited Spanish and we are going to try to learn Spanish before returning next year The location of the hotel is perfect for the football stadium and has several bars and cafes nearby

Comfortable hotel and friendly/helpful staff. The rooms are spacious and clean but we found it a little too warm. The hotel could do with an update as the decor is a bit outdated. Some very good places to eat near-by. Great to have a swimming pool/sauna available. Not close to the center but easy to get to with buses or a 20/25min walk.
