This hotel was very updated. It had a large shower with very hot water. Comfy bed. Awesome, high view of Reno and the Truckee River. Parking garage was a little confusing but we figured it out. Front desk staff was nice. Entire hotel was clean with cool displays. Going again for sure!!

Overall, this is a nice hotel. Rooms are comfortable and nicely renovated. Self check-in was ok but lacks customer service. The secure elevators were nice. Felt safe throughout the hotel. The only downfall is the nasty elevators from the parking. It's overly dirty, extremely worn, and smells terrible. The glass doors were filthy and covered in handprints. The carpet is stained and dirty beyond a vacuuming. All of this screams lack of caring for your hotel guests. That alone made me give them a 3 star. I feel if you're going to charge an exorbitant amount for a resort fee ($40+) that you can keep this area clean. It's the first impression people get of your establishment.

"Not worth the money — felt 15× worse than a 1-star hotel." I booked a room at the 4-star Silver Legacy Resort in Reno expecting a smooth check-in and a decent stay for the price I paid. Instead, I was told at the front desk there was a “system issue” and it would be just a few minutes. That “few minutes” turned into over an hour of waiting in the lobby, only to be told it still wouldn’t be fixed for at least another hour. With no other choice, they moved me to their sister hotel, Eldorado, just down the street. The front desk staff there were very nice and tried to help, but the hotel itself is old, outdated, and in terrible condition. When the receptionist asked if I wanted a smoking room, I clearly said non-smoking. I went up to my room and was hit with a horrible cigarette smell so strong it was impossible to ignore. The staff switched me to another room, which was slightly better, but the entire experience — the long wait, the unexpected hotel change, the poor condition of the building, and the smoke-filled first room — made it feel like I had paid luxury prices for something 15 times worse than a 1-star hotel. I would never recommend this to anyone looking for comfort, value, or reliability.
