I recently had the pleasure of spending one glorious night at the Silver Sand Beach Resort on Neil Island, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The staff there is truly nice and helpful, and I must especially give a shout-out to Mr. Thomas. I was impressed by their exquisite villas and the private beach. Everything in my room was super clean, and it felt so cozy. I love the feeling of fresh, crisp sheets and towels. The resort's meals were delicious, and there were lots of tasty choices, and I wasn't limited to what I ordered, so it was all good. The pool was great, and the spa there definitely enhanced my already enjoyable stay. But the best thing about the resort? It was in the perfect location for exploring.
As far as scenic location goes, this spot is near about perfect. A definite 10/10 for a mesmerizing beautiful location, a resort with it's own personal beach in the backyard, well maintained landscape & a calm soothing vibe. This place has it all, a nice swimming pool, tasty food great service & the absence of unnecessary noise. Peaceful walk on the beach, a stroll in the park and tranquility of nature, makes it a great location to visit. The staff is friendly & has good hospitality, food is nice & the rooms have all the modern amenities one expects. Definitely would visit again.
We stayed at Silver Sand Beach Resort for 2 nights. The location is excellent—close to the Jetty—though the approach road is a bit bumpy and remote. The property is spread out with gorgeous views of its private beach, typical of Neil Island's low-tide charm. First impression wasn’t great. The reception looked dull, and the staff didn’t seem trained to warmly welcome guests. Though check-in was smooth, our cottage felt dated and in need of a makeover. Curtains didn’t offer full privacy, the wardrobe didn’t shut properly, and while the room was clean, the fridge wasn’t cooling and had leftovers from the previous guest. Amenities are basic, and while the landscaping has potential with fruiting and flowering trees, it didn’t feel well-maintained. The private beach was the highlight—lined with mangroves, peaceful, and perfect for a quiet sit-down, though rocky areas require caution while wading in. We only had breakfast here, and were pleasantly surprised. There were good veg/non-veg options, and the team allowed us a late checkout due to ferry timings. However, the dining hall was warm, and staff seemed more comfortable with family guests than seasoned travelers. Service was prompt but not polished—especially when compared to the Silver Sand property in Port Blair, where staff were far better trained. The spa was a plus—the masseuses were excellent, but the area could use a livelier atmosphere. Overall, an okayish stay. The property has great potential, but it needs a refresh in decor, better staff training, and upgraded amenities to truly shine.
