Silver Sand Sentinel

This particular location of Silver sand resort is convenient if one wants to stay within the city limits & travel to the local spots & tourist attractions of Andaman. It's a small campus and limited activities to do at the hotel. The establishment is well maintained & has a swimming pool open bar, a lawn & banquet hall for group events & buffet meals. The rooms are neat & clean with all the modern amenities but they don't have any particular view as it's surrounded by other buildings. Food quality is good & we enjoyed all the emails. A reliable place to stay.

The room was a bit older and worse. But it made up for it with a great and big pool. Location is very good, very close to town and the airport. The breakfast buffet was very wide and good. But the price could have been a bit lower considering the quality of the rooms.

Though listed as a 4-star property on most travel sites, this hotel does not meet the standards typically associated with that category. Below is a summary of the pros and cons based on my stay: Pros: 1. Courteous and helpful staff. 2. Decent cleanliness throughout the property. 3. Convenient central location in the city. 4. Lockers are available in rooms. Cons: 1. Significantly overpriced for the amenities offered. Comparable hotels in most state capitals are available for around ₹4000. 2. The hotel occupies a compact space with a layout resembling a college hostel — rooms open into a shared corridor overlooking a central pool. 3. Rooms lack proper windows; a single window near the entry door faces the corridor offering no view. 4. Room sizes are small and feel cramped. 5. In-house restaurant is overpriced relative to the quality and offerings.
