The finest piece of Edwardian Britain in Sydney. My wife and I cannot fault any part of our stay. The owner, manager and staff were wonderful. The rooms were spacious and every little detail was attended to. A short walk took us to the Opera House, Royal Botanical Gardens and more. The breakfast was the best continental breakfast I’ve had. The welcome by Keith (owner) was cordial and welcoming. He knew all his guests by name and was a wealth of knowledge. The sitting room with its fire and port was like a country home at its best.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for our trip to Sydney to celebrate our 2 year. The owner Ree was so warm and welcoming and helped us find a great place for dinner. The rooms were super clean and spacious with a very comfortable night's sleep. Awesome location with great walks to nearby restaurants and about a 15 minute walk to the botanical gardens and the Opera house just a little further. Highly recommend if looking for a weekend getaway or a quiet stay in a homey hotel.

"Ruined Wedding night" Simpsons Hotel decided to tell us about a supposed 'double booking' the evening before our wedding. THE EVENING BEFORE. Absolutely ridiculous. They offered no solution (other than booking us into surrounding accommodation) and could not explain their lack of knowledge about this supposed 'double booking' in the weeks leading up to our stay. We are well aware that it would have something to do with price bumping which independent hotels are allowed to do. What hotel does not know about a double booking weeks in advance?! Not only this, when I was on the phone to them, they couldn't care less! Received message on Friday evening and was supposed to stay on Saturday. My wife was devastated. BEWARE, don't stay here on your wedding night as they may bump you out last minute when all the beautiful hotels are fully booked!!
