Sina De La Ville

Very nice and by far the largest hotel we stayed at in Italy. Rooms and bathrooms were much more spacious. Great location to the Duomo, shopping, and food. Would highly recommend.

The rooms are a bit worn but I feel like it's part of the charm of being in an old building. It was very clean though. The rooms facing the direction where the Duomo is can be noisy at night and early in the morning. It was a bit hard to sleep. The sheets and towels were standard hotel fabric. The staff, from the reception to the hotel breakfast buffet to the cleaners, were all friendly, accommodating, and very helpful. It's just a few meters away from the Duomo with lots of eateries and shopping around the area. It's very central and easy to find.

I was disappointed with the condition of the hotel and the breakfast that was included. Milan was our last stop of our two week Italian vacation. We visited Rome, Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Bologna, Venice and Bellagio. So, I feel that I have a pretty good idea of hotels and service. We had become accustomed to hotel staff greeting us and asking us if we needed anything. This is not the case in this hotel. There is no coffee or tea offered in the room. We were given complimentary bottles of water. I did not mind so much that the hotel was dated. What bothered me the most were the stains in the rugs/carpets in the room and the elevators. Deferred maintenance is a concern. The breakfast was pretty basic and some of the pastry offerings did not appear to be fresh. As I began to sit, the chair was not clean. Additionally, a guest decided to bring her dog into the space where we were eating. I don't mind pets but NOT in an enclosed area where food is being served. Otherwise, the hotel is in a very good location.
