The hotel is very well located on the beach, has lots of facilities and has a great potential to become the perfect place. Sadly, the way it is currently run and, by the look of it, the way it has been run for a while, falls short of fulfilling this standard. The rooms are a good size but, not very clean. The bathrooms are very dated and poorly maintained, with smells of sewers and cockroaches crawling all over the place. The mattresses, although clean, were uncomfortable to sleep on. The food was OK, but nothing to write home about. It felt fresh on most days and none of us got any upset stomachs during our stay, which is a bonus. The choice of drinks was rather limited and of low quality. The staff (limited amount present) were generally friendly but a lot of them seemed to lack motivation and leadership to strive to deliver an outstanding service. It would be great to see a dramatic improvement of this unpolished gem one day in a not too distant future.
The ONLY really nice thing I can say about this hotel is its location since it's right on the beach and the beach itself is quite good: not too deep for a good distance, relatively calm and clean water. The hotel, though, does not correspond to the pictures online at all. It's not well-maintained and cleaned properly, there is mold in some rooms and some weird brown blemishes that are not cleaned from the curtains. The bedding had other people's hair on it. The base is a bit old, some of the spa pools are literally green because they are so dirty, there is no lifeguard for the big outdoor pool and almost nobody uses it. No à la carte restaurant and the all-inclusive package only includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. No snacks throughout the day. The food was not varied at all, there are no signs to tell you what type of meal is in front of you, you have to risk it to try. I would definitely not go there again!
Really Honest Review I booked this hotel only because of its location. I didn’t expect much, as I live in St. Konstantin nearby and had seen it before. Unfortunately, even with low expectations, I was still disappointed. The hotel is run-down and not well maintained. The website is misleading and out of date — none of the à la carte restaurants are open anymore, even though they’re still listed as part of the offer. Everything closes at 9 PM, not 10 PM as advertised, and most facilities are not functioning. The food is actually quite nice — that’s the only positive. However, the drinks are extremely watered down, especially the juices, which taste like they’re just mixed with water. The hotel appears understaffed, or perhaps management simply doesn’t want to pay the staff properly. Cleaners only empty the bins and do not clean the rooms properly. The overall cleanliness is very poor. The entire infrastructure needs serious refurbishment. The outdoor areas are disgusting — almost every tile is covered in seagull droppings, making it not only unhygienic but also unsafe. The swimming pool is full of mold and leaves, clearly not cleaned regularly or properly maintained. On top of that, many exits in the hotel are unsafe. Two staff members were cleaning sunbeds in the middle of peak season, which caused the main entrance to be soaked with water the whole day — with no attempt to dry it or put up warning signs. My dad slipped on the wet surface while returning from the beach and ended up in Varna hospital. He couldn’t move for the rest of the holiday. Only after the accident did they place a “slippery floor” sign. No one from the hotel checked on him or replied to the email I sent. It was embarrassing and unacceptable. The only person who asked how he was doing was a cleaner — not management. If you don’t have the money or intention to run this hotel properly, you should close it. I’ve attached some current photos — the ones you see online are at least five years old and do not reflect the actual state of this place.
