Beautiful hotel with a really fun private pool! We booked through Airbnb, so we weren't fully waited on by staff and didn't get a full room clean everyday (I'm not sure if they do that for other guests booked directly via the hotel). It was a little difficult checking in due to the language barrier, and the road to the hotel hasn't been paved yet, so it was a bit bumpy as we were coming and going. Overall, the best place we've stayed in Mexico and it was lovely.
Everything is just phenomenal, more than i expected to be honest for a hotel in the jungle. Yes, I was shocked at the beginning that the roads in and out of the hotel area was not paved, and not lit, but I realised that I signed up for this and I wanted to live these moments, especially when I was able to get my own transportation method. Staff were EXTREMELY nice and very very helpful, from the front desk to the restaurant staff to the house keeping staff! BIG SPECIAL THANKS to Roger, Raul and Thomas ! As well as the Receptionists For making my 8-night-stay memorable. I will go back again and again and again. Blessings !
I spent a total of 3 nights at Siwa and can say overall that I had a good experience. However, I would not recommend it for everyone and I personally would not return. The staff are very nice and friendly. A lot of them don't speak English which is not a bad thing, it just made my life difficult. The rooms are very nicely designed and equipped. Hot water is a bit of an issue. The water pressure is low and some rooms have multiple showers. If 2 people start showering their water will not be very hot. I know of certain rooms that had hot water shortages altogether. The resort itself is small but nicely designed with a modern housing within the forest vibe which I enjoyed. The hotel's restaurant is the sole food / beverage provider in the hotel which can make it a bit crowded at times. The worst point for me personally was the food. Deserts are strongly based on deserts and fruit which are complemented with sugar. The non desert dishes consist of meat. The vegetarian dishes were pretty bad. While this opinion was shared among most of my party other found it to their liking. The hotel does have a very cool underground lair for events. Its only downside is that it is very cramped and small. The hotel is secluded. You must have a car or use a taxi to get in and out which is a bit of a bummer since it does not have a lot of activities / food options. It is pretty close to ancient ruins. The water at the hotel tastes really really bad even when just brushing teeth (we didnt drink it).
