Skalion Hotel

Skalion Hotel was a fabulous choice, in such a fabulous and bustling location with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. For a first time in Istanbul it was perfect. The staff are warm and friendly, and we were treated in a way like friends rather than tourists. The breakfast buffet was incredible, generous and varied with lots of delicious traditional foods. The room was reasonably priced as well, no view but we didn’t need one as we were out all day. Highly recommended

Decent place in a decent location. The room was clean, quiet, and it had a fridge. The spa services were not available and the bellhop turned down a tip that was "too small".

Two families booked into two superior rooms but only given family suites. Even after asking and showing emails, regarding superior suite that we paid for, they didn't give us the rooms. They said nothing is available, no room. No chance of a refund or anything. The rooms smelt mouldy and didn't even have a window. Breakfast was not good. No chance of alternative food. If you want a fried egg, we have to pay extra. Always the same food everyday. We stayed for 4 days and couldn't eat much at all. Paid for a full breakfast when all we had was a little toast, fruit, drink maybe a little pancake. There was never enough food. Always told its finished. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone! Don't go by the photographs. Very deceiving.
