Our stay at Hills & Hues Hotel in Thekkady was truly memorable. The first thing that stood out was the spectacular view from our room — it was simply breathtaking and made every moment feel special. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They even reached out to me two days before check-in to discuss our preferences and coordinated directly with our tour guide to ensure a smooth journey to the hotel. A special mention goes to Mr. Ram, the chef, who was incredibly friendly and attentive. He took great care to ensure all our meals met our requirements, and as a thoughtful gesture, he prepared a beautiful cake wishing us a safe trip on the day of our departure. We also enjoyed a back and foot Ayurvedic treatment at their spa, which was both relaxing and refreshing — the perfect way to unwind after exploring Thekkady. One thing worth noting is that the hotel is designed as a resort-style property, which involves a short uphill walk between the rooms and the restaurant. For most adults and healthy seniors, this adds to the charm and experience. However, for senior citizens with knee issues, I would recommend booking the rooms adjacent to the restaurant rather than the cottages for added convenience. Overall, Hills & Hues is not just a hotel with amazing views; it’s a place where hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care make your stay unforgettable.
