Excellent experience spending a night in Skopje in Marriot. Hotel is high standard, super well located with very well trained staff. Service was just about perfect! I couldn’t have a better impression of North Macedonia than this one. Special thanks to the front desk representative Ivan! Your kindness with my family and specially with my son Aron was unforgettable. The help for us to explore the best in the city and the professionalism. We really appreciated our staying.
Beautifully maintained hotel with an excellent location in Skopje. Our room was modern, clean, and spacious. The on-site spa is well equipped with plenty of amenities. The reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars: check-in. A few days before arrival I had sent a message asking if we could check in early (around 11 am). I got a reply that they would do their best. When we showed up, no rooms were ready. The staff did graciously let us use the spa while we waited and promised to have our room prepared as soon as possible. By the time I checked back, just before the official 3 pm check-in time, housekeeping still had not serviced our room. After expressing my frustration, we finally received our keys around 3:30 pm. To sum up: an excellent hotel that delivers on comfort and facilities, but the check-in process left much to be desired.
The hotel is in a very central location in Skopje, which is a big plus. However, we experienced several issues that do not meet the standards of a chain hotel: the parking entrance card system was out of order, there was no welcome drink or amenity, and the room was generally dusty — the windows were dirty, towels were grayish instead of bright white, and some essentials were missing. While the reception team was polite and helpful, the same cannot be said for part of the breakfast staff. The hotel has strong potential but needs major improvements in cleanliness and service quality.
