Skyline Airport Hotel

I chose this hotel for its convenience to the airport and also at it was close to a friend I was visiting. I had not very high expectations as airport hotels aren’t generally great. I was pleasantly surprised at how amazing this place was. Beautiful room with great decoration and furniture. Everything was functional and spotlessly clean. The rooms were extremely quiet too. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended

Close to airport with a shuttle to/from. Easy walk to bus stop with very regular schedule to Helsinki city center. Rooms are super clean with appropriate amenities. Hotel restaurant is quite good, too! I'd totally stay again.

Unfortunately, my experience at this hotel was disappointing from the start. When I arrived on the first day, the room was not properly cleaned. The floor had clearly not been vacuumed, the pillow cover had stains, there was hair in the shower drain, the soap bottle was empty, and there was still food left in the fridge from the previous guest. That alone already left a bad impression. To make matters worse, when I later started drinking a beverage I had brought myself on the hotel terrace, the staff approached me in a very rude and disrespectful tone. They told me it was not allowed due to Finnish law — which I understand and respect — but the way they communicated it was unnecessarily harsh. They even insisted on throwing away my drink, which I did not agree with. A simple, polite explanation would have been enough. Overall, the staff seemed unfriendly or at least extremely serious, and the atmosphere was far from welcoming. This kind of treatment is not what you expect when staying at a hotel, especially one that receives international guests. I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and relaxed stay.
