I’m still here (4 night nights) and this hotel has to have the best service I have ever had. The staff are exceptionally nice and accommodating, going over and above. My room is nice on the 25th floor, the hotel is virtually attached to Emporium mall and the Skytrain. The pool is excellent, there are like 10 massage places within a 1 minute walk, local Thai food also a minute away (open air place right best the skytrain). It’s kind of a Japanese feel to the hotel; I haven’t went to the Skybar on the 35th floor yet but I think it will be great as I heard people talking about it at the pool. Also, there is a money changer out front that has rates that are ok if you’re in a pinch. Again this location is perfect for exploring the city as it’s close to the skytain and if you don’t want to climb stairs go into Emporium and use the escalator to get to the floor attached to the skytrain. Stay here! Updated!!!! Hotel will not allow outside door or drink at the pool. I had see. Others bring and it was fine, but when I brought a coffee it was a big problem. The way I was talked to was not pleasant and when I called the guest services no one cared. So a knock on service for sure. Also the breakfast I had yesterday was below average and the TV has limited channels.
Location is great however, room is a little dated and needs refreshing - got the Grand Executive Room. Room is a little dark even with all the lights on. Had to resort to turning the table lamp as well just for that extra bit of light. Front desk service is pleasant but those at the door could do better. Would probably explore other hotels for future stays!
After we checked out, we left our luggage at the hotel for a few hours. Later, we were shocked to discover that hotel staff opened our bags without permission and took the hotel slippers from inside. Before that, they asked us if we took the slippers, and we said yes – so they charged us for them. But in reality, they had already taken the slippers from our luggage. So they made us pay, and also took them – which is extremely dishonest and unprofessional. Opening guests’ bags without consent is a major violation of privacy and trust. This behavior is simply unacceptable and shows a complete lack of integrity. I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone who values safety, honesty, and respectful treatment.
