Sleek 1BR in Gaslamp Quarter by Sonder

Hands down one of the BEST hotels I’ve ever stayed at in San Diego! From the moment I checked in, the staff made me feel like family. Their customer service is next-level—friendly, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you’re comfortable. When I saw the price online, I honestly thought it had to be a scam because it was so cheap for the location. But wow… I was wrong in the best way possible! The rooms are spotless—and I mean spotless. As someone with OCD, I’m extremely particular about cleanliness, and this hotel exceeded every expectation. The beds are cozy, the atmosphere is peaceful, and everything feels fresh and well-maintained. The location is perfect for exploring San Diego, and the staff is always ready with helpful recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and hidden gems. This hotel is officially my go-to every time I’m in the city. It truly feels like my second home, and I wouldn’t dream of booking anywhere else. If you want unbeatable prices, top-tier cleanliness, and some of the warmest hospitality you’ll ever experience, book this place without hesitation—you’ll thank me later!

We had a great stay at Sentral Gaslamp Quarter. The rooms felt more like stylish apartments rather than hotel rooms. They had contemporary West Elm furnishings, a spotless full kitchen with cookware, a fridge and freezer w/ice, a glass-top stove, and even an in-room washer/dryer combo. Everything was clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi was very fast, and the location was excellent, with restaurants, bars, grocery stores, museums, and plenty to do within walking distance. Check-in was virtual and very easy. Plus, we still received a warm greeting from the valet and concierge. Complimentary water and coffee were available in the lobby, and the room also had an espresso machine with canned water. The building felt secure with controlled access, and the gym was well equipped. Whenever we had a question, customer service responded quickly. This “apartment-hotel” concept made our trip comfortable, modern, and feel just like home. Highly recommend.

The front desk staff are truly amazing and so friendly. The building is clean, well maintained and extremely conveniently located. My partner and I were able to work in the lobby seamlessly and the building has all you need for a short stay including a gym and washer dryer combo that worked well!
