Surprisingly quiet as the room faces the restaurant which is open almost all day. Wonderful buffet breakfast with excellent quality and selection. The staff so kind and pleasant- especially lovely kind woman who allowed us to store our luggage while we did sightseeing on our last day and the kind young man on nights who let me indulge in my early morning caffeine addiction at 5.30-6 o’clock. It reinforces my opinion about the importance of having good receptionists as people interactions are so important to visitors.

Fantastic location near the castle (obviously). Really relaxed vibe in the evening with the outdoor bar. Incredibly friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent.

Lovely hotel on the south side of Kalmar, just outside the city centre. Very close to the Kalmar castle. If you continue a bit further to the south you will find hiking/cycling paths that will lead you to small beaches and harbours. The hotel itself has a beautiful old charm. The rooms are nicely decorated and well-maintained. The staff had been very welcoming and friendly. Breakfast buffet offers a wide variety and everyone will find something to their liking.
