Been there, and my reasons for being there were cheap price and proximity to HBF. The hotel is actually named Ludig Darmstaedter Haus, next to the Premier Inn and the railroad. One needs a five-digit code to open the entrance and then has two options for check-in—self check-in at a digital kiosk or at reception. Reception service isn't guaranteed as it is empty most of the time. Key cards are also used to ride the elevator. Now, about the apartments, the rooms are very compact but good, airy, and clean. Though the building is literally on the rail tracks, once the window is closed, outside noise barely bothered me. The bed is a little small for a peaceful sleep, though. Service isn't good at all. At least three room amenities—toiletries, a kettle, and tea bags—were missing. Watter bottles were promised but later denied. On the first day, these items were not provided due to staff unavailability. The lounge is also reasonably big and bright. Overall, it's okay.

The apartment smelled like Indian food, which I’m fine with, but there wasn’t any Indian food to be found, just the smell and it didn’t vanish even the next morning. There was lots of hair everywhere and the sink was clogged. Self Check in is easy but this needs to be cleaner. UPDATE: after posting this the hotel send me a passive-aggressive email insisting that the sink was not clogged and I had used it wrong and that they could not see any hair, so I change my rating of service from 3 to 1 star.
