SO Sotogrande Spa and Golf Resort Hotel Costa del Sol

We stayed one night at SO/ Sotogrande as a family of four (two kids aged 4 and 7) and were impressed. The resort strikes a perfect balance between luxury and family-friendliness. The restaurants were excellent – every meal felt thoughtfully prepared, with a great mix of local and international options. The variety kept both us and the kids happy, and the settings were beautiful, whether dining poolside or indoors. The pool areas were a highlight. The kids’ pool was perfect – warm, clean, and filled with other children, which meant our kids were happily occupied the whole time. The adult pool was a great touch too – peaceful and elegant, offering a chance to relax and unwind. The kids club was a great addition with delightful staff. Gym was amazing and beautiful views. Wife and I used it twice and loved it. Evenings had a really special vibe – relaxed, upbeat, and social. There were lots of families around, which gave the whole place a friendly, welcoming energy. Our kids made friends quickly, which made everything easier and more fun for us too. The staff were wonderful – consistently friendly, helpful, and professional. Everyone we interacted with made us feel welcome, which really added to the overall experience. Overall, SO/ Sotogrande exceeded our expectations. Whether you're coming with kids or as a couple, it’s a stylish, comfortable, and well-run resort. We only stayed one night, but we left wanting more – and we’ll definitely be back!

Almost 2 years back, we had the pleasure to stay at the resort for our honeymoon , we always think back about the great time we spent at the resort and plan to come back again as well. Overall 10/10 amazing place to relax and enjoy the beautiful area, we enjoyed every minute. The staff made the experience 10 times better with their kindness and assistance. Luxurious and calm place, the pool, gym, spa and over all facilities are top level. The food is great but limited options. It would be better if there is a food delivery service from nearby restaurants.

Not sure what the fuss is about with this hotel. Lack of attention and attitude from front of house members of staff. Barely any service at breakfast in particular. Plus side, Pool staff were great as was the entertainment lined up at night. Food when it finally came was great. But goodluck getting it at breakfast. And you will be charged for taking a coffee away with you at breakfast even if you’ve paid your inclusive board. Random extras will be added to your bill too so look out for that.
