I had an excellent stay at this hotel, and I want to give special recognition to Jessie at the reception. She was warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with a genuine smile. Jessie went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth and comfortable during my stay, from check-in to check-out. Her professionalism, kindness, and attention to detail truly made me feel valued as a guest. Thank you, Jessie, for making my experience unforgettable!
I had a wonderful experience with Ahmed Atya. He is professional, helpful, and truly cares about customer satisfaction. When I was upset about a certain issue, he immediately upgraded our room and assisted me greatly. In addition, the room was very clean and the room service was extremely fast. I would also like to thank the entire team for making our two days truly amazing. Highly recommended!
I recently stayed at the SO/ Uptown Hotel in Dubai, and I’d like to share my honest opinion. I rated it 3 out of 5 stars not because it was a bad experience, but because I feel it’s a very specific type of hotel that may not suit everyone. To begin with, the hotel is extremely luxurious and has a strong business oriented vibe. In my view, it’s ideal for business travelers staying for one or two nights, especially for meetings or corporate events. However, I don’t think it’s the right choice for families, children, or anyone looking for a relaxed vacation in Dubai. It feels too formal and upscale for a leisure trip, and the high cost doesn’t match the value for someone who just wants to enjoy Dubai in a more casual or relaxing way. The breakfast was one of the disappointing aspects for me. Given the luxury level of the hotel, I was expecting something more impressive. The menu was small, limited in variety, and the taste was not up to the standard I would expect from a hotel of this level. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend having breakfast here. Another thing I want to mention is my check-in experience. When I arrived, the staff at the reception said I didn’t have a reservation even though I had already paid. One of the employees at the front desk, named Dimitri, unfortunately was not welcoming and handled the situation poorly. Thankfully, after his shift ended, another staff member stepped in who was much more professional and kind, and helped resolve the issue smoothly. All in all, while I appreciate the hotel’s design and business-friendly environment, it’s not a place I would return to on my next trip to Dubai. This is just my personal opinion, and I truly hope others enjoy their stay if they choose this hotel.
