My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Lungarno. The property is beautiful, the staff are gracious and accommodating, and the location is flawless. Special mention needs to go to Lorenzo for his outstanding service. When we checked in (a little early), Lorenzo let us know that our room was not quite ready. This was no issue, since we had reservations at a nearby restaurant. When we told Lorenzo, he literally walked out out of the property and down the street with us to show us where the restaurant is. We were simply blown away by such an act of unsolicited kindness. Their breakfast was also fantastic and had a wide array of delicious options. I highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is a beautiful hotel on the “other side” of the Arlo River a bit away from the crowd. It is still beautifully located though and only a short walk to sites like the Duomo. There are many great restaurants in the area too. We’ve stayed many time in the “family room” which comfortably fits 4 of us. The rooms are beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed, coffee machine and well stocked mini bar! James is always there to greet us and somehow remembers us every time. The concierge was also very helpful with reservations of all kinds. It’s just a great place to stay she. In Florence!

Luxury, But Missing the Mark There’s no doubt this is a Small Luxury Hotel — the property and room had all the hallmarks of elegance. The location was excellent, and once we figured out how to navigate Florence’s driving restrictions, parking was smooth and well-handled. That said, the experience didn’t feel entirely authentic. While our room was beautiful the — little touches felt more fussy than functional. What really impacted our stay, though, was the elevated bathtub. It made showering awkward and stepping in and out— we both nearly slipped multiple times. We also struggled to find a spot in the hotel to truly relax, and street noise at night made it hard to sleep. Surprising given we were on the 7th floor. Breakfast was fabulous and the staff were very kind in making dinner recommendations and steering us away from tourist markets. A luxurious property, but with a few missteps that took away from the overall experience.
