Sofia Hotel Sea of Galilee

We had a family vacation of 3 rooms, I never heard about this hotel before and I was amazed how beautiful it was. Most of the hotels in this area are overpriced and old, crowded and poor food and no view. The view was incredible, the rooftop and infinity pool view was beautiful (although the safety wall needs cleaning), the hotel is new and clean, free parking (very rare) and very nice staff. High plus - there’s a water cooler near the pool and available water in the lobby. The meals were great, we had everything we needed, tasty and veritable, at dinner we enjoyed also stakes that the chef was considerate enough to do it in the size we asked (also rare in hotels). It was calm, not crowded even though it’s high season, and we had available seats on the pool, I don’t remember the last time it happened in Israel. **The downside - was the shower, it was accessible room and the shower was compatible to a wheelchair and had a seat and curtain, instead of glass and it was very uncomfortable, the whole bathroom was wet and we weren’t notified about it, we came for one night so we let it slide, but it was disappointing. **Location - it’s not close to the promenade, not that there’s anything to do there, restaurants are a few minutes walk. Maintenance - the pool towels or the pool area is lacking, in the afternoon it’s hard to find towels, all the seats are empty but old towels on, it’s hard to know if it’s not taken. would recommend that the staff will do a swipe around checkouts to clear available seats. For our family it was perfect for relaxing and we didn’t need anything else.

We had a great stay at the Sofia Hotel in Tiberias! Our room (608) was modern, super clean, and had what might be the sleekest shower of any hotel I’ve been at, the modern lights are really cool. The view from the room was beautiful. Thank you Aliza! The infinity pool was stunning. It would’ve been nice to have more shade by the pool, and on the gorgeous rooftop. The food was excellent —both breakfast and dinner were fresh and tasty. We also had a massage at the spa, which was really good, although the relaxation area could be improved. It was a little hard to chill out before and after the massage because the receptionist is seated nearby and even used the loudspeaker sometimes. All in all, a great experience. Would happily come back!

A rare combination of attentive service,lovely aesthetics ,spotless and comfortable rooms and superb food with plentiful choice, this hotel is a gem of a place.You walk off a non descript street into a place that has clearly been designed to give their customers a delightful experience.Accolades to management and staff.
