Sofitel Brussels Europe is a solid choice if you’re looking for a comfortable stay in Brussels. The rooms are clean, modern, and well-equipped, with comfortable beds and good amenities like Nespresso machines and quality toiletries. The location is convenient, close to the European Quarter and surrounded by plenty of restaurants and cafés. Breakfast is generally well-reviewed, and the hotel has a nice atmosphere. However, my experience with the staff was mixed. While some guests mention friendly and helpful service, I found the staff to be somewhat indifferent and not as welcoming as expected for a five-star hotel. There were a few issues at check-in and with communication that could have been handled better. Overall, the hotel itself is good and the rooms are a highlight, but the service could use some improvement. If you value room quality and location over warm hospitality, it’s a decent option in Brussels.

I stayed at this Sofitel in Brussels for 2 days and had a wonderful time. - The lobby area is quite nice as seen in the images - The front desk staff and cleaning staff is definitely super friendly and always try to help as much as possible. Ava, on the front desk was fantastic and gave a wonderful room with nice view and descent size. She definitely went out of the way to help and was super friendly. - The hotel is located in the heart of the city in Place de Jorden. 10 mins walk from EU parliament or the metro station. - The area is definitely safe and touristic, also the restaurant has a rooftop bar, where drinks were alright. - Gym was clean but the human, was a wet hot sauna which I personally didn't use. - The room was also clean, the bath room was well kept and has enough amenities. All in all a good place though there are certainly place for improvement, as it is a busy hotel. if you are passing by for a day or two, it definitely should be the first choice. Space for improvement? - The bed wasn't extremely comfortable, I had to ask the lady to put the duvet in a certain way so I don't feel like I am sliding off the bed. -The walls of the room have spots and marks everywhere and the curtain in the room was torn from the bottom, damaged ironing board. - No silk eye masks available in the hotel, as mentioned in their card next to bed and a common practice across all Sofitels. The curtains are also a bit high so it get bright early. - As a Gold member I did not receive any welcome kit (except a tiny box of a 2 pcs chocolate), however room was definitely upgraded and I am thankful for that. - I made two bookings as I extended my stay but the system here also denied for drinks vouchers on second day which has never happened in past if I ever extended my stay. And they removed my Accor points after adding them and then gave different points. A bit confusing and frustrating as this happened after I had asked for the clarification over email for amenities kit.

Not a 5 star hotel, although it may have been 20 years ago. Rooms are outdated and also have the most odd curtains I’ve ever used in my life. Molding on the floorboards is chipping and needs to be painted. Service for anything needed in the room took 30 minutes and a couple phone calls as a reminder. Was questioned why I needed more of certain amenities. All this to say, wish I’d went with Juliana the other 5 star hotel, or the other one I forget the name of in the downtown area. Also, the area surrounding is ok but you’re a far walk from downtown and the taxis run into traffic quite a bit.
